The Managing Director of East Midlands Contracting (EMC) Chris Moyses and director Rick Davy have with Kieran Bermingham (Ex part owner and Senior Manager of Thomas Bermingham Contractors), been operating a successful sub-contractor business for a number of years.

The company added Les Cawdron, as general manager, to the team in 2005.

Given the operational background and management experiences gained by the senior management team within the utility sector, EMC possesses competencies to deliver successful business solutions to all utility companies undertaking work within the current complex operating environments.

East Midlands Contracting has previously undertaken operational work on behalf of numerous major companies including & the National Grid Alliances:-

Enterprise plc, Alfred McAlpine plc, The Murphy Group, AMEC Utilities, Morrison PLC, ALHCO, DCE, GTC, Thomas Bermingham Contractors.

Client requirements have ranged from small/medium one off projects to main sub-contractor works on period contracts (of 5+ years in length).EMC have also participated in a number of contractual relationships, including cost and set rate agreements, and are renown for delivering competitive solutions to the Utility Companies.
EMC have also participated in numerous HSE&Q initiatives, including Health and Safety improvement plans, and Environmental development schemes (ISO14001).

EMC have built a reputation for reliability and possess specialist capabilities to meet the requirements of the gas sector.

S ub-contract work is undertaken on behalf of National Grid Transco and Fulcrum Connections (via principle/main contractors), on a number of mains replacement, gas emergency and new mains and services supply contracts.

The EMC management team will evaluate work requests across the utility sector for all types of utility projects, durations and conditions, upon request.
